The Executive Committee of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Board of Directors today approved David Miller of the American Petroleum Institute (API) as Interim Board Chair, filling on an interim basis the vacancy left by Mary McKiel, who recently stepped down as Board Chair. Miller will serve in this capacity through December 31, 2024.
As a longtime champion of the ANSI Federation and the U.S. private-sector-led standardization system, Miller is a seasoned standards leader who has served multiple terms as a Vice Chair of the ANSI Board. Throughout his decades of service as a volunteer leader on the ANSI Board, he has been active on the ANSI Executive Committee, ANSI ISO Council, the ANSI International Forum, and the Institute’s policy advisory groups, among numerous other activities. He currently chairs ANSI’s Finance Committee and previously chaired ANSI’s International Policy Advisory Group.
ANSI extends its great appreciation to McKiel for her service as ANSI Board Chair and her decades of leadership and contributions to the ANSI Federation as a member and officer of the Board.
